Payment Delivery Services
Southern DataComm's Network GateWaySM Service and ProtoBase eXpressSM Service are both high-speed communication services that enable merchants to consolidate high-speed access to multiple electronic payment processing hosts. This is achieved through the use of a single connection with SDC's Payment Delivery Services’ Network in conjunction with our processing and management software. Services include the use of high-speed SofTrans interfaces as well as support: 24 hours per day; seven days per week; and, 365 days per year.
SDC’s Payment Processing Services have become the industry standard among point-of-sale (POS), property management systems (PMS), e-Commerce software vendors, manufacturers, system developers, transaction processors, and merchant banks that require secure, high-performance transaction delivery.
Our Payment Delivery Services offer both high-speed and dial-up communications to enable merchants to quickly and accurately process payments. The payment delivery services network is based upon two fully redundant telecomm-rated data centers with dedicated, high-speed access to many electronic payment processor hosts.
ProtoBase eXpressSM Service
ProtoBase eXpressSM Service allows users to increase functionality from their persistent Internet connection with an average authorization time of 4-6 seconds (based on Internet availability).
The connectivity to multiple payment processors is designed for small to medium-sized corporate entities that do not currently have a corporate WAN.
The ProtoBase eXpress features include high-speed connectivity with low start up costs. Transactions are secured and encrypted as they travel over the Internet.
The ProtoBase eXpress Service requires the following products:

ProtoBase® and PbAdmin® Software;

High-speed SofTrans® Interface module(s) for each processor selected;

Subscription to the ProtoBase eXpressSM Service, and
-
Persistent Internet connection.
Network GateWaySM Service (NGS)
The Network GateWaySM Service provides turn-key access to multiple processing networks for your credit card, private label, debit card, stored value card, check authorization and more, via your corporate WAN. The average authorization is 3 seconds.
The Network GateWaySM Service features include monitoring from the merchant's router to the processor's router 24 hours per day; seven days per week; and, 365 days per year. The service is housed in secured, high-availability data centers that are protected from outages via redundant power feeds. The power feeds are backed up by UPS systems and diesel generators. NGS takes advantage of the merchant's existing infrastructure, automatically converting data to the protocol required by the selected processors. Data conversion reduces the demand on the merchant's internal IT department and provides flexibility when determining who can provide the best processing rates. More >>

Managed Payment Services
Managed Payment Services is for the business that demands a managed solution.
This SDC-exclusive service removes the burden of implementation and daily management of payment activities. These services are managed entirely by SDC through its PCI compliant data centers.

ProtoBase Dial eXpress Service
The ProtoBase Dial eXpress Service allows merchants to experience high-speed authorizations and settlement in dial-up configurations.
Aspen Terminal Solution SM
The Aspen Terminal SolutionSM (ATS) is a point-of-sale (POS) terminal that offers both dial and Ethernet-based services. A merchant that uses the Aspen Terminal SolutionSM has the ability to process credit, debit, check, private label, or gift/stored value electronic transactions via the Payment Delivery Services.
