ProtoBase^® Suite 6.00

Support has been added for new card entry modes (contactless payments), programs (Purchase Card Level III, Amex CAPN) and a hook to programmatically modify captured transactions.

Settlement and reconciliation processes are improved through custom user reports, enhanced search/selection functions, duplicate checking and more.

In keeping with Southern DataComm’s commitment to cardholder data security, ProtoBase Suite 6.00 has been audited by an independent, Visa qualified payment application security company and validated to meet compliance of the Visa Payment Application Best Practices (PABP) program. Acquiring Banks and their agents have quickly adopted the PABP as a mandatory requirement and are currently working with their merchants to verify that only validated applications are being used to access the payment networks. It is likely that most merchants purchased a turn-key electronic payment system. Therefore, it is essential that supplying vendors ensure that the PABP requirements have been met throughout all components of the system.

To help banks and merchants determine which applications/components are compliant, Visa maintains a list of validated payment applications on their website.
